Who am I?
In short, I’m a writer, cat mom, and multi-passionate wanderer. My creativity is inspired by small and understated moments like the way raindrops look on leaves, the way the first sip of coffee tastes, and how the right song at the right time can turn you inside out and knock you over backwards. Writing is my way of making sense of the world and my place in it.
I’ve been writing since I can remember and while I’d like to think my writing has improved overtime, it’s possible that I peaked at age ten with masterpieces like “Katie’s Dog Charlie” and “A Man Called Mr. Dumb”.
Something about a global pandemic gave me the push I needed to get some of that writing out of my notebooks and into the world and in 2021 I published my first poetry book, A Trail of Lost Buttons.
You can usually find me surrounded by three beverages lost in my own thoughts or watching Jurassic Park.
What am I working on?
While there are always a million ideas and projects floating around, my current two big focuses are:
1) My second poetry book. No spoilers, but it revolves around human emotions and baked goods. That’s all you’re getting for now. Stay tuned.
2) A psychological thriller novel. At some point in 2025 I wrote a short story to submit to a contest and after submitting it, it refused to stay a short story and quickly turned into a whole manuscript which I am SO excited about. Think The Haunting of Hill House meets Anxious People.
